Pekalongan City – The spirit of mutual cooperation between the TNI and residents is again visible in the implementation of the TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) Sengkuyung Phase 4 program, which is currently underway in Setono Village, East Pekalongan District.
One of the physical activities that is the focus of this TMMD is the construction of road divider embankments, which is part of the road improvement project with concrete cast construction (redimik) measuring 244.5 meters long and 3 meters wide.
From observations in the field, TNI members together with local residents worked together to lift materials and arrange stones for the construction of embankments, which will later strengthen the road structure and prevent landslides or erosion around the road body.
Danramil 01/East Pekalongan, Captain Inf Abdul Mutholib, said that this activity was a real form of synergy between the TNI and the community in supporting infrastructure development in the region.
"Through this TMMD, we want to demonstrate that the TNI not only safeguards national sovereignty but is also directly involved in assisting the community in development. The construction of these embankments is crucial to maintaining the quality and durability of the roads under construction," said Captain Mutholib.
Furthermore, he hopes that the results of this program can be directly felt by the community, especially in supporting transportation access and the economy of local residents.
Residents of Setono Village have welcomed this program. Besides strengthening social ties, their involvement in the development process gives them a sense of ownership over the results.
The TMMD Sengkuyung Phase 4 program is scheduled to last for one month, involving personnel from Kodim 0710/Pekalongan, the local government, and the surrounding community.
